Historic Sites and Architecture and Arts

Lexington is home to some beautiful historic sites and architecture that you can’t find anywhere else. The centerpiece of the city is the Fayetteville Street Historic District, which features a variety of restored buildings dating back to the late 1800s. -Going to see live music at any one many venues like Alive after 5 Series held once a month in the summer by local musicians playing classical music.
-Visiting museums like Lexington History Museum where you can learn about history, art and even science!
-A short drive to High Rock Lake for some fishing, kayaking or hiking along trails that take you through beautiful forests by the water.
-Taking a stroll around downtown where there are shops and restaurants waiting to be explored!

High Rock Lake

 High Rock Lake is located just outside of the city, so it’s perfect for those looking to escape into nature or spend some time on the water. The lake is full of activities like fishing and kayaking that make this spot an ideal getaway from busy life at home or work! The lake was constructed in the late 1950s and early 1960s as a part of the Yadkin-Pee Dee River Basin Project. The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers dammed up the river to create this lake, which is now one of North Carolina’s largest lakes at over 12,000 acres! There are also plenty of hiking trails around the area for those who want to get out into nature and explore some beautiful scenery.
 

High Rock Lake is home to a variety of different species including largemouth bass, striped bass (rockfish), catfish and crappie that make it perfect for fishing! There are also plenty of activities like kayaking or swimming if you’re looking something else fun to do while here too! The lake has several campgrounds nearby if you’re looking for an overnight stay as well with plenty of amenities like picnic tables and grills available at each site.

Lexington’s weather is mild all year long with temperatures averaging from 40-60 degrees Fahrenheit during winter months and up to 80-90 degrees Fahrenheit during summer months. The town receives about 40 inches of rain every year with snowfall occurring only rarely in December through March days or weeks before April flowers bloom!
 

The population of Lexington is approximately 18,000 people who live here full-time but there are also many visitors who come to enjoy the sights throughout each year. The town is located in Davidson County, NC which is part of the Piedmont Triad region and has a rich history dating back to 1773 when it was first settled!

We are directly across the road from Char’s which we highly recommend if you are wanting a classic burger, fries, or shake. If you’re in the mood for something else Arby’s is directly beside of our parking lot. We would love to have you come down so stop in anytime!
