Classic Car Alignment and Repair, Lexington NC
Classic Muscle Car Service
We get it! You just spent either thousands of hours or thousands of dollars on the ride that takes you back in time. You have checked every detail, every piece of trim in its place, paint that you can see yourself in, and new tires just begging for a burnout from the V8 ready to explode under the hood. But before you do any of that you need to get it aligned because included in your thorough restoration you rebuilt all the steering and suspension including new tie rod ends, ball joints, A-arms, disc brake conversion, upgraded sway bars (front and rear), and new rear end to handle all the power under the hood. As you stand there chomping at the bit to just get in it and drive your thinking that you barely trust yourself to drive this beast how are you going to find a shop that will treat your car with the level of respect it deserves.
We’ve been there too! Our owners have owned and put their blood sweat and tears into frame-off restorations of classic cars. It’s a question we have have thought about ourselves when we were ready to get the car out of the shop and onto the road. That’s why when we took over Perryman’s in 2015 we said that all customers cars would be treated with the level of care that we would give to our own restorations. We have worked with the guy who spent six figures having a shop build the car of his youth to the one who spent 10 years slowly piecing the restomod back together from the ground up, LS swap included, and we are honored that they have trusted us to be able to get them driving down the road again.
Rat Rod Alignments
When the rat rod first came onto the scene it was a combination of parts and cars that may have been left over from previous projects. That is no longer the case and has evolved into a world of custom fabrication and patina finishes that would rival SEMA builds just a few years prior. Given the custom nature of the work done to get these cars on the road it is rare that a standard suspension set-up is used. From the custom 4-link rear suspension to fabricated A-arms in the front that allow the frame rails to drag the ground, we have worked with them all and will work with you to keep the tires pointed straight going down the road.
Vintage Car Service
We have had customers send cars to us from as far away as Florida to get their suspension straightened out and aligned because they know the level of care we show their cars and that when it leaves it will be correct. You may not have an asphalt pounding Mustang or Chevelle of the late 60’s and early 70’s, but your restored Scout, wrangler, Wagoneer, or Land Rover will be treated with the same level of respect we give to all of our high value customers. Our technicians have worked on vintage British and German cars and SUVs, early American made trucks, and classic Japanese cars. Take a look at our photo gallery for a snapshot of the vintage and classic vehicles that have come through our shop and left in better condition than they arrived!
