Fuel Injection
Fuel injection is an electronic system for delivering fuel to engine. Since the 1990’s, fuel injectors have completely replaced carburetors as the primary means of getting gasoline in from the fuel tank to the combustion chamber in the engine. A throtle body or individual fuel injectors atomize the gas by forcing it through a small opening (under extreme pressure). When the fuel injection system is not funcitoning properly this can mean poor performance and eventually destroy the engine. Ensure that your car’s fuel injection system is maintained properly. For all of your fuel injection maintenance and replacement needs, call us to find out how we can help!

Ignition
The ignition system in your vehicle is responsible for igniting (via electric spark) the combination of air and fuel in the combustion chamber of a internal combustion engine that uses gasoline as fuel. A properly functioning ignition system means a properly starting engine and high performance from your vehicle. For all of your ignition system diagnosis, replacement and maintenance needs, call or visit Perryman’s Alignment anytime Monday thru Friday.

Ignition Wires & Cables
Spark plug wires is another name for ignition cables and they are an integral part of your vehicle’s ignition system. They deliver the spark from the ignition coil to spark plugs that ignite the mixture of fuel and air. The mixture starts the engine. With time, ignition wires and cables get weak and break down. which makes it impossible for the spark to reach the engine cylinders. This results into the engine misfiring. The vehicle will ultimately fail to start. If it does start, it’ll run poorly. Common signs of faulty ignition cables and wires are: poor fuel efficiency, engine misfires, engine light is on, and engine might vibrate. In case your vehicle needs new ignition cables and wires, call or visit Perryman’s Alignment in Lexington 27292 and 27295. Here, you’ll have the wires and cables changed by a top-rated mechanic.

Spark Plugs
The spark plugs in your vehicle are responsible for taking the spark, delivered from the ignition coil via the spark plug wires, and use it to ignite the fuel in the combustion chamber just as the piston reaches top dead center. This process occurs thousands of times a minute and if your plugs have not been changed recently fuel economy and engine function can be harmed. At Perryman’s Auto Repair our expert technicians that can check and replace your spark plugs if needed.
